It is the time for turnover in the NFL.

After officially losing Nick Foles and Jordan Hicks on Wednesday, the Eagles lost Golden Tate to the division rival Giants because he wanted “to get another ring” as he told Philadelphia reporters in February.

Add another loss to the list, this time a more surprising departure: Jordan Matthews.

Matthews signed with the 49er shortly after Tate signed with the Giants.

It is a slightly surprising development because the Eagles signed him for league minimum mid-season in 2018 and it is hard to imagine he suddenly developed a market so large that the Eagles were unwilling to bring him back.

That said, the second-most expensive receiving corps in the league is probably only looking to add rookies.

The terms of the deal have not been announced, but it would likely be the smallest of the four Eagles that have signed so far, so this pick would currently be the one that would be negated by the L.J. Fort signing earlier today.
