The Eagles lost offensive tackle Brett Toth to the Cardinals and running back Wendell Smallwood to the Redskins on Sunday.

Smallwood isn’t the only player the Eagles had to cut heading to an NFC East rival.

According to Fox Sports’ Adam Caplan, former Eagles defensive tackle Treyvon Hester is being signed to the Redskins 53-man roster.

Hester was reportedly brought in due to injuries on the Redskins defensive line as the team is not sure Caleb Brantley will be able to play week one against the Eagles.

Hester was one of the more productive defensive tackles on the Eagles last season with Tim Jernigan playing a minimal amount of snaps and Ngata struggling to get anything going.

Of course, he also blocked a kick to help the Eagles advance to the divisional round of the playoffs last season.

Hester recorded 13 tackles and a sack in limited snaps across 12 games with the Eagles. He figures to be a rotational player against the Eagles week one.
