Injury Report: Seahawks at Eagles

The Eagles were a flat out embarrassment last week, losing a very winnable game to the New England Patriots.

The team will get defender Nigel Bradham back this week, but seem likely to have more offensive players on the sideline.

They will need to win-out if they want to convince themselves there is any realistic hope that they can earn a bye, however unlikely, and they will need to route for the Patriots to beat Dallas if they want to have any chance at maintaining a tie-breaker of their division rivals who lead them by one game.

Injury Report

Eagles

Out

OL Lane Johnson

The Eagles scored 10 points on New England with Johnson at right tackle. Then he left with a concussion and the Eagles were no longer able to run the ball effectively, forcing them to lean on the worst receiving corps in the league. His loss would be monumental, though there is some hope that Andre Dillard could impress at right tackle and help to solidify the line.

Questionable

WR Nelson Agholor

Agholor really did injure himself when he made a catch much more difficult that he then dropped to lose the game. It’s hard to say he’ll be missed. When you drop three passes that could have won or tied the game at the end of the fourth quarter, maybe someone else attempting those catches isn’t such a bad thing.

WR Alshon Jeffery

Jeffery has been a massive let down already and not playing won’t help that. The Eagles are now essentially down to Matthews and JJ Arcega-Whiteside. Maybe Mack Hollins will do something positive or Greg Ward will get a shot?

He has missed three games this season already (if you aren’t including the Falcons game as a game played).

RB Jordan Howard

The Eagles struggled to get anything going with Boston Scott as a feature back in their rotation. Without Howard, the Eagles may have to play Scott again, though Jay Ajayi should see snaps this week and help ease Howard’s absence, if only a bit.

Seahawks

Doubtful

TE Luke Wilson

Wilson is the Seahawks top tight end, though he has just 10 catches for 79 yards. His absence should, in theory, make the job of the linebackers for the Eagles easier, which could be very good for a team that looks to be getting Nigel Bradham back.

Questionable

DE Jadeveon Clowney

The Eagles chose not to trade for Clowney and now he is the Seahawks most effective pass rusher. So far this season, he has 25 tackles, three sacks, and interception, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, three defensed passes and 12 quarterback hits.

Adding to that, Clowney has returned both a fumble and an interception for a touchdown this season.

The Eagles will be without Lane Johnson and vulnerable on the right side, so if Clowney is out, the Eagles might catch a huge break.

CB Neiko Thorpe

Thorpe is a back-up corner. He’s played just 22 defensive snaps on the season.

UPDATE: The Eagles have officially labeled Alshon Jeffery, Jordan Howard and Nelson Agholor as inactive.

As for the Seahawks, they have officially ruled out Jadeveon Clowney, Neiko Thorpe and Luke Wilson.
