The Sharks scored at 3:17 of the first period, then scored again 11 seconds later. By the end of the first period, the rout was on as San Jose struck four times in the opening 20 minutes in a 8-2 laugher over the Flyers on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center.
The Flyers play host to the San Jose Sharks for their home opener on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
