Bellemare out at least 2 weeks

Next two weeks for Flyers just as crucial as start

The Flyers are 4-2-2 in their first eight games of the season. It’s safe to say, at this point, that they managed to avoid the slow start to the season they were looking for. But in those first two weeks, the Flyers had to pass several tests, tests that were about competing with good […]

Postgame Perspective: Old habit costs Flyers a point

At 4-2-1, the Flyers entered Tuesday's game with a chance to prove this wasn't last year's team. Game 8 Preview: Flyers get 1st look at Eichel, Sabres

The spectrum shifts for the Flyers as they head into their eighth game of the season. Coming off another telling win against the New York Rangers — in a shootout, no less — the Flyers get their first chance to correct another area that palgued them for much of last season. The Buffalo Sabres […]

Time to start using Mathews more in running game

If there was one part of the Eagles offense that had some moderate success in Sunday night’s loss to the Panthers, it was the running game. The Eagles tallied a total of 177 rushing yards for the game, primarily split between DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews. Murray had 18 carries for 65 yards. Mathews […]

Weekly Report Card: D for Drop

You know all the good feelings there were from playing a sloppy game but escaping with a 20-point win over the Giants. Throw them out the window. Yes, the Carolina Panthers are undefeated. Yes, the Eagles hadn't really seen an opponent quite like this since Week 1. It's still no excuse. The Eagles continued […]

Postgame Perspective: Struggles on offense are collective problem

Let's not sugarcoat this: Sam Bradford has not played well this season. But it's time to stop pinning all the blame on Bradford for the Eagles struggles offensively. The holes in the offense were clear in Sunday night's loss to the Panthers. Eight drops by wide receivers. Jason Peters left the game in the […]
