It's after 3PM, but deals are still coming through and one involves the Sixers taking on the contract of Joel Anthony. Anthony was traded from Detroit to Houston, along with a protected first-round pick, in a deal earlier today that sent Donatas Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton to the Pistons. The Rockets will send a second round pick, which is actually the Nuggets 2017 pick, to the Sixers for taking on Anthony's contract. So, to be clear, Anthony comes from the Pistons trade, but through Houston.

Anthony, 33, has played just 52 minutes for the Pistons this season, averaging 0.7 points per game. According to CSNPhilly's John Gonzalez, Anthony will likely be waived. Though with adding Anthony, the Sixers must now waive one player in order to not be over the roster limit as well.
