According to Brett Tessler of Tessler Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles have signed running back Raheem Mostert to the practice squad.

The Eagles cut Mostert as the team had to trim down their roster to 53 players by Saturday.

The former Purdue University running back had a strong preseason. He rushed for 157 yards on 39 carries this preseason with Philadelphia. Also, he returned five kickoffs for a total of 162 yards, including a 67-yard return on the opening kickoff in week three of the preseason against the Green Bay Packers.

The Eagles were pleased to hear that Mostert cleared waivers.
