The Flyers' home preseason game on Sept. 25 against the New York Islanders has been bumped up one hour to 6 p.m., the team announced on Thursday.

The team cited travel restrictions throughout the City of Philadelphia as the reason for the change. Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia that weekend has led to significant (and controversial) adjustments the City has made — including the complete closures of the Schuylkill Expressway and Ben Franklin Bridge, as well as closure of several exits along Interstate 95.

In addition to the time change, the team also announced a slew of promotions for that game. Fans will be able to enjoy free pretzels, hot dogs and soft beverages, and merchandise at the Fan Zone, 47 Store and other stands will be discounted at 50 percent off. Area college students will be able to receive a $20 ticket by presenting valid college ID at the box office the day of the game.

The team also unveiled its "#PlayBoldly" campaign for the 2015-16 season on Thursday.
