Before hitting the disabled list with a hamstring injury, Jerome Williams was 3-7 with a 6.43 ERA and 1-6 with an 8.06 ERA in his last nine starts. On Tuesday night, Williams will begin his rehab in hopes of returning to the Phillies rotation with a fresh start.

The Phils signed Williams to a one-year, $2.5 million contract entension in October. In 57 1/3 innings for the Phils last season, spanning nine starts, he posted an impressive 2.83 ERA. Obviously, this years results have been much different. In 11 innings during the month of June before getting hurt, Williams posted an 11.45 ERA over three starts.

The Phillies expect Williams to need two starts in the minors before returning to the big league club.
