Phillies offer free tickets to all those who attended (or did not attend) Friday’s “On Deck” game

Friday night's "On Deck" game between the Phillies and the Pittsburgh Pirates was a decent time for those who attended.  The pre-game player visits, free hot dogs and sodas to those coming in the gates, some free upgrades to suites, autographs, and a Ryan Howard visit to the Diamond Club to serve drinks, along with a walk-off home run off the bat of Ben Revere.   But, the game was inconvenient for some fans.

Between the weather and two religious holidays, Passover and Good Friday, the Phillies sold a sparse 16,609.   It was also apparent that many of those ticketholders did not get to attend.   The Phillies decided to do something for those who purchased tickets: give them more tickets.

This is a classy move by the Phillies to help keep fans happy, who likely will have to deal with a bit more losing than which they have become accustomed.  So, if you purchased a ticket to Friday's game, you can take in another game.
