Phillies acquire Devin Lohman from the Reds

The Phillies added to their minor league infield depth on Thursday afternoon, acquiring shortstop Devin Lohman from the Reds. This moves comes just hours after news about J.P. Crawford's oblique injury surfaced.
The Phillies have acquired SS Devin Lohman from Cincinnati in exchange for future considerations. Lohman will report to minor league camp.

Lohman, 25, was selected by the Reds in the third round of the 2010 draft out of California State University Long Beach. The last two seasons, Lohman spent his time with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Reds Double-A affiliate. In 2014, he hit .245/.310/.352 with 16 doubles, two triples, five home runs, 37 runs scored and 29 RBI's.
2011 was Lohman's best year, hitting .272 with 10 homers and 69 RBI's between Rookie League and Advanced 'A' ball. In five minor league seasons, he has a .251 average.
