Report: Phillies Discussed Second Baseman With Dodgers, Too

Losing Jimmy Rollins was tough for Phillies fans.  What if the Phillies lost Chase Utley, too?  If the Phillies were willing to deal the one, they may have been willing to deal the other.  The Phillies talked about it, too.

In course of Rollins conversations, Dodgers and Phillies also discussed Chase Utley, according to source. Now Dodgers have traded their 2B.

Could the two teams deal yet again?  Chase Utley went to UCLA and has a home in Southern California.  

The Dodgers may not exactly be without a second baseman. The Dodgers could start Alex Guerrero at second base, if they so choose.  Guerrero was an untouchable prospect for the Dodgers, who got a small look in the major leagues.  Guerrero did, however, hit .329 with 15 home runs and 49 RBI along with a .978 OPS.
