Roy Halladay officially hit the comeback trail from shoulder surgery today pitching six innings for the Gulf Coast League Phillies. Halladay allowed six hits, three earned runs, three walks, and struck out four. He threw eighty seven pitches. John Finger wrote that his fastball topped out at 89 mph.
While not exactly a Cy Young outing, it's encouraging that Halladay is far along enough in his rehab. In a perfect world, which it's still up in the air which we live in one, Halladay makes one more rehab start before his return to the big club.
