I did not see this coming. The Eagles today released punter Chas Henry. The move was to make room for Mat McBriar. McBriar was in training camp with the Eagles but did not make the team while recovering from an injury. I guess that is who the Eagles wanted all along. McBriar punted for the Dallas Cowboys from 2004-2011.
The Eagles also got some insurance at long snapper by signing Kyle Nelson to the practice squad. Jon Dorenbos is dealing with a high ankle sprain, and having Nelson around gives them an option should Dorenbos be unable to go. To add Nelson to the roster, they will have to cut another player.
