Report: Sixers bring back Amir Johnson on one-year deal

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia 76ers remained busy in making roster moves by retaining one of their veteran leaders.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Sixers have come to terms with power forward Amir Johnson on a one-year deal.

Johnson averaged 4.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, shot 53.6 percent from the field, and shot 31.3 percent from beyond-the-arc in 15.8 minutes per game in his 74 games.

Last season, Johnson signed with the Sixers on a one-year $11 million deal. This year, he helps continue to add to a bench that looked previously depleted with the losses of Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova.

Johnson was given the NBA Hustle Award last week for his hustle stats on the Sixers this season. Now, the Sixers get to retain their backup center behind Joel Embiid for at least the next season.
