Dario Saric is undoubtedly a team leader for the Philadelphia 76ers. He continued to prove that once again on Wednesday when the Sixers defeated the New York Knicks, 118-101.

Saric had to step up even more than usual in the victory due to a facial injury to Joel Embiid. Saric finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists.

The Sixers won their eighth straight game, the longest winning streak since 2002-03, as they also move into a scenario where they could realistically challenge the Cleveland Cavaliers for the third seed in the Eastern Conference. The Sixers currently trail the Cavs by a game, as both teams were victorious on Wednesday.

The Eastern Conference is so tightly contested, that any sort of loss could shift the playoff picture dramatically.

So there's always that chance the Sixers could end up facing LeBron James and the Cavs in the first round. It's unlikely, but definitely not impossible.

Brett Brown told the media prior to the game Wednesday that he "is not intimidated by any team in the Eastern Conference," come playoff time.

Dario Saric doesn't exactly feel the same way.

While you don't exactly want to hear that from a team leader, he's not wrong. I don't think anyone wants to face LeBron in the first round of the playoffs.

LeBron is 48-7 in the first round of the playoffs during his long career. He's 12-0 in first round playoff series matchups. He's undefeated. Who'd want to deal with that? Not me.
