Philadelphia Flyers vs. Anaheim Ducks Preview: Happy Homecoming

After playing nine of the last 10 games on the road, the Flyers will certainly welcome being back on home ice for the next four games. The first home game of 2026 is certainly one that has been circled on the calendar once again.

The Flyers are set to face off against the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night, and both sides have players looking to make statements to former teams.

The Flyers ended the road trip with arguably their best win of the season, defeating the Oilers. It’s been the opposite for the Ducks, who have lost six straight games and 10 of their last 12.

Game time is at 7 p.m.

Trevor Zegras faces his former team for the first time on Tuesday night as the current leading scorer on the Flyers with 39 points in 40 games. Zegras has gone six straight games without a goal and been held without a point in three of the last four games.

Cutter Gauthier has put together a strong season, but slowed down recently. The former Flyers draft pick has just three points in his last nine games and four goals in his last 17 games.

Dan Vladar gets the start for the Flyers. Vladar was excellent in Saturday’s game against Edmonton, making 22 saves on 24 shots in his career-high 15th win of the season.

Lukas Dostal gets the start for the Ducks. Dostal entered Monday’s game in relief for Petr Mrazek, stopping all three shots he faced. He allowed five goals on 34 shots in a loss to Minnesota in his last start on Friday.

• Flyers: Matvei Michkov missed practice on Monday and had an x-ray on his foot. Results were negative, and he skated at morning skate, but Rick Tocchet called him a game-time decision for Tuesday’s game. If he’s not able to play, Nikita Grebenkin would slot back into the lineup.
• Ducks: No changes are expected to the Ducks lineups.
