The debut of Ben Simmons is looming, and the feeling recently, is that he will be making that debut sooner rather than later.

Earlier in the week, it was said that Simmons' foot had healed almost completely and that he would be making his long-awaited debut within the next month. Next Friday's game vs. the Houston Rockets sounded like it could be the date, but Coach Brett Brown eventually ruled out that possibility.

Bryan Colangelo told CSN that Simmons would undergo a final scan on his foot on Monday, which could have his return be soon, although nothing is known for certain.

The first overall draft pick in the 2016 NBA draft left practice on September 30 with a fractured foot that required surgery. He has just recently started to travel with the team, and has participated in limited practice as he gets ready for his first action as a member of the Sixers.

Coach Brown had mentioned that Simmons could make his debut sometime after the All-Star Game which will be played on February 19.
