Adam Briscoe, known for his "Briscoe Disco" dance at Reading Fightin Phils games, was struck by an SUV at about 7:35 pm on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred about ten minutes from the Fightin Phils' stadium at the intersection of Papermill Road and Berkshire Boulevard in Wyomissing.

It was last reported that he is in critical condition in the hospital's intensive care unit. Wyomissing Police Chief Jeffrey R. Biehl said that Briscoe was conscious when police arrived to the scene. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and no charges will be filed.

Briscoe is well-known for performing his crazy arm-pumping dance intended to energize the crowds at Reading Fightin Phils and Reading Royals games. The Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, created a GoFundMe page to help pay for Briscoe's medical expenses.
