The Philadelphia Union finally get the ball rolling on the offseason

Image courtesy of Philadelphiaunion.com  Hey guys, it's me just letting you know that I'm not dead as a Philadelphia Union writer. The issue was that for me to actually write something during this offseason, the team had to ya know, do something. Well after starting the offseason off with rumors of a Designated Player number […]

Saint Joe’s Hawks look to overcome injuries in a crowded A-10

Last season was a rough one for the Hawks. Phil Martelli’s men were hampered by injuries which led to them finishing 11-20 on the season. While they should be primed for a bounce-back year, the Atlantic 10 coach’s poll has them predicted to finish third in the conference and that may be an ambitious goal. The trio of Shavar Newkirk, Lamarr Kimble and Pierfrancesco Oliva have a lot to prove after missing large parts of the season (or in Oliva’s case, the entire season) and they will likely begin the year with some rust.

La Salle Explorers look to exceed expectations in 2017/18 season

The La Salle Explorers are entering the season with low expectations but that's just how head coach Dr. John Giannini likes it. Saint Joe’s Hawks picked to finish third in A-10 coach’s poll

The Hawks are riding on one thing as a team this season, the health of Shavar Newkirk. With him, they were 7-5 last season and without him, they were 4-15. Newkirk has a decent shout at being A-10 player of the year this season after averaging 20.1 points per game last season but in his […]

La Salle Explorers picked to finish ninth in A-10 coach’s poll

Following a disappointing season during which they finished eighth in the Atlantic 10 with a 9-9 conference record (19-19 overall), the Explorers are tipped to struggle again. The losses of Jordan Price and Demetrius Henry will be tough to cope with but the Explorers do have interesting options on the team.  This has led to […]

Could Philadelphia be a landing spot for Kekuta Manneh?

Embed from Getty Images The Philadelphia Union are at a crossroads. As another underwhelming season winds down, they will prepare to enter the offseason with more questions than answers. With a significant amount of payroll coming off of the books, the Union will also have quite a bit of capital to address those questions. One […]
