The Flyers will pay tribute to the tough guys, the players who helped create the Broad Street Bullies and the enforcers that have come since, with their second Heritage Night prior to Thursday’s game.

Another sellout crowd at PPL Center saw their beloved Phantoms extend their win streak to seven games on Wednesday night with a 4-1 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

The game hardly falls on Mason’s shoulders. Sure, he looked bad on Turris’ tying goal, getting caught watching instead of adjusting to the position of the puck carrier. That said, after making 25 saves and four more in the shootout, the Flyers had ample opportunities to make Mason’s one error a non-factor.

Despite receiving some solid play from goaltender Steve Mason, the Philadelphia Flyers fell to the Ottawa Senators in a shootout by a 3-2 score.

The long road continues, as the Flyers prepare for another eight games before the end of November, starting on Tuesday night against the upstart Ottawa Senators.

Michal Neuvirth’s injury has changed the roles of the other three goalies in the Flyers organization at the NHL and AHL levels and gives them all a chance and us all a chance to see where they stand as the race for a long-term spot between the pipes for the Flyers remains up for grabs.

With the Philadelphia Flyers goaltending struggling, should general manager Ron Hextall pursue the Tampa Bay Lightning’s goaltender, Ben Bishop?
