Is Beau Pribula Returning to Penn State? Former Nittany Lion QB Hints at Happy Valley Reunion

Former Penn State quarterback Beau Pribula may be signaling a return to Happy Valley.
Pribula, who spent the 2025 season at Missouri, recently re-entered the NCAA transfer portal and sparked speculation by updating his social media accounts with Penn State-related images. The move has led many to wonder whether the former Nittany Lion could return to State College for his final season of eligibility.
Pribula played at Penn State from 2023–2024, appearing in 24 games primarily in a backup and situational role. A Pennsylvania native, he transferred to Missouri seeking a starting opportunity and won the Tigers’ quarterback job early in the 2025 season.

Before his season was cut short by injury, Pribula produced okay numbers in the SEC.
In 10 games, Pribula completed roughly 67 percent of his passes for approximately 1,900 yards, throwing 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions. While the production was steady, turnovers became an issue against stronger competition.
Pribula also made an impact as a runner, totaling nearly 300 rushing yards with six rushing touchdowns, showcasing his athleticism.
His season ended after he suffered a dislocated ankle in late October. Although the injury did not require surgery and reports suggested a relatively quick recovery, the missed time and evolving quarterback situation at Missouri ultimately led Pribula back into the portal.
Not So Happy Valley?
Despite the social media hints, Penn State fans appear largely unenthusiastic about a potential return. Reaction online has been mixed, with many questioning whether Pribula would fit into the current quarterback room.
While a reunion would make sense from a familiarity standpoint, it remains unclear whether Penn State would view Pribula as a legitimate option for playing time.
For now, nothing is official. But with Pribula back in the transfer portal and Penn State imagery resurfacing on his social media accounts, the possibility of a return to Happy Valley remains on the table.
