Following Ryne Sandberg's promotion to Philadelphia to serve as third base coach, the Phillies announce the hiring of Dave Brundage as manager of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. Brundage, a career minor leaguer, spent half his playing days in the Phillies' system. He's been manging since 1995, including a six year stint with the Braves Triple-A affiliate.
