Tonight represents the fourth straight game that Domonic Brown will not be in the Phillies' starting lineup. While some may have felt it was a combination of poor play while strong play from both Grady Sizemore and Ben Revere, there was a reason. In recent days, Brown was out with a "sore throat". The diagnosis may be a little worse than that.
Pat Gallen of 97.5 the Fanatic reports:
Dom Brown says he'll have to get tonsils taken out after the season. Is on antibiotic right now. Still feeling off but available tonight.

Darin Ruf is in the lineup batting seventh and playing left field.
