The Philadelphia Eagles have waived quarterback Stephen Morris and signed Thaddeus Lewis to the team's 53-man roster.

Morris signed as an undrafted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2014. The former University of Miami quarterback signed with the Eagles after the Jaguars made him one of their final roster cuts during this preseason.

He threw for 198 yards and one touchdown in two games this preseason.

The Eagles worked Lewis out last year and brought him in for a visit a couple of weeks ago. He hasn't played in a regular season game since 2013 with the Buffalo Bills

In seven games in the NFL, Lewis has thrown for 1,296 yards with five touchdowns and four interceptions. He has a quarterback rating of 81.4.
