Eddie Alvarez Breaks Jaw in Loss at Bare Knuckle Debut in Philly

Philadelphia: The City of Philadelphia is riding the high from the history-making night on Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center with the 1st ever Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, which drew 17K in attendance – and the fights lived up to the hype.

The Main Event was Eddie Alvarez taking on Jeremy Stephens and the fight would go three rounds. The corner for Alvarez would stop the fight before going to Round 4.

The crowd at Wells Fargo Center was not sure what happened to stop the fight as Stephens get the win by TKO.

On Monday, a report would come out on why the fight was stopped:

 

Later in the day, Eddie Alvarez would confirm that he did break his jaw in the fight:

Following the fight, you could see Eddie not moving his jaw as he left the ring.
