Segura arrived in Philadelphia prior to the 2019 MLB regular season in a trade that saw the Phillies send shortstop J.P. Crawford and first baseman Carlos Santana to the Seattle Mariners. A two-time MLB All-Star by the time he arrived in the City of Brotherly Love, Segura is best remembered for being a catalyst to the Phillies 2022 World Series run. Segura’s most notable moment in a Phillies’ uniform came in Game 1 of the 2022 National League Wild Card Series against the St. Louis Cardinals when he drove in the go-ahead run during a wild ninth inning rally for the Fightin’ Phils.

“Jimmy Cigs” played 12-seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels, Miami Marlins, and Milwaukee Brewers. The two-time All-Star (2013, 2018) slashed .281/.327/.401 with 1,545 career hits, 110 homers, 513 RBIs, and a .729 OPS.
