Former Sixers first round pick Evan Turner signs $75 million deal with Trail Blazers

After two seasons with the Boston Celtics, former Philadelphia 76ers No.2 overall pick, Evan Turner, has agreed to a four-year contract with the Portland Trail Blazers.

One of the most conflicted Sixers draft picks over the past decade has been Evan Turner. After an impressive career at Ohio State, the Sixers selected him with the second overall pick in the 2010 draft. Turner never really lived up to the expectations of the No.2 overall pick and Sixers fans let him know it. He was perceived to be a lazy player who wasn't a great locker room presence with his teammates.

In four seasons with the the Sixers, Turner averaged 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, shooting 31.5 percent from three-point range and 42.8 percent overall. In his final season, before being traded to Indiana, he averaged 17.4 points and 6.0 rebounds. He never quite fit with the Pacers during their postseason run that year and landed with the Celtics on a free agent deal the following season, where he somewhat revitalized his career.

Turner was picked ahead of DeMarcus Cousins, Paul George, Avery Bradley, and Eric Bledsoe in the 2010 NBA Draft.
