Philadelphia Rejoices: Eagles Remove Kevin Patullo As Offensive Coordinator

Kevin Patullo, the inept buffoon handed the job of offensive coordinator for the Eagles 2025 season, is out.

Patullo oversaw the greatest regression imaginable for the Eagles, who went from an unstoppable powerhouse of an offense to one that couldn’t manage more than 6 points in the second half of any game against a team with a .500 record.
Mekhi Becton was the only starter that left the offense and it could be argued that the team received an upgrade over the next best player the offense lost (Kenny Gainwell) when they acquired Tank Bigsby.
Patullo had a roster filled with stars and his offense ranking 24th in yardage (just behind the SAINTS), and 19th in points.
With so many fired coaches that would be fantastic OC hires available (not to mention Frank Reich or Doug Pederson, who would likely not leave and fill a role like Vic Fangio), it would be malpractice to not fire the dude stealing checks to hire someone with any level of actual talent at calling offense.
Patullo may be a worthwhile contributor on a staff as an analyst or something, but clearly he has no business even being considered as an offensive coordinator. Reports indicate he may remain on the Eagles staff next year in another capacity if he’s interested.
That marks the second time that the Eagles have allowed Nick Sirianni to promote one of his buddies only for that to crash and burn in epically bad fashion. The only good coordinator hires under Sirianni have been handled by Howie Roseman and it certainly seems like it should permanently be that way moving forward.
It’s not an official announcement from the team, but they’ve seen what has happened and their hires have both taken the Eagles to the Super Bowl while the offense has had unbelievable collapses under Sirianni hires. There should be NO reason to ever let Sirianni even give his input on a potential coordinator hire unless it’s so that they can do the opposite of whatever he tells them.
For now, the Eagles have taken a step in the right direction.
