Munson

The Phillies announced today that they have returned RHP Kevin Munson to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Munson, 25, was selected by the Phillies in the Rule 5 draft back in December.

In his time with the Phillies this spring, Munson held runners in check, but allowed too many of them to get on for free. In seven innings of work over five games, Munson allowed an earned run while walking a drastic eight batters.

In 2013 with the Diamondbacks, Munson maintained a 4.12 ERA in 54 2/3 innings during time split with AAA and AA levels of the organization. It was not enough for the Dbacks to keep him on their 40-man roster and let him be eligible for the draft.
