Phillies Offer to Cole Hamels is “At Least” $120 Million; Maybe More

A quick update from CBS's Jon Heyman. The reported offer that was tied to the $120 million/5 year amount may even be more than that. Heyman calls the offer "at least" that, but notes it could potentially even be more.
Heyman reiterates that the Phillies have long said that they hope to keep Hamels in a Phillies uniform. But, there is always the fear that Hamels could depart for free agency and the Phillies be left with nothing.
The clock is ticking. In 14 days the trade deadline will come, and the Phillies potentially could trade Hamels if they don't feel he will sign.
