Bad news for the Phillies. Shortstop Roman Quinn, one of the Phillies top prospects, has torn his Achilles while working out at home, Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly is reporting.
This is not the type of injury a player such as Quinn needs. Quinn's strongest quality is his speed, and as we know all too well from first baseman Ryan Howard's Achillies injury, it does not heal quickly.
