A handful of plays go differently and the Phillies are still working on a healthy winning streak of six games. But that was not the case on Friday.

Luck finally ran out on the Phillies. All around, they threw up a dud in the final four innings, falling for the first time in nearly a week.

The Phillies (31-31) are back at it on Saturday night, trying to rebound and move back above .500 against the Brewers (23-37) in the third game of a four-game series.

Kyle Kendrick (6-3, 3.12 ERA) gets the start for the Phillies. Kendrick beat the Marlins in his last start, pitching a complete game allowing two runs. He faced the Brewers twice in 2012, going 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA. In his career against the Brewers, Kendrick is 1-3 with a 3.38 ERA. At Miller Park, he is 1-1 with a 1.89 ERA.

The Phillies will face left-hander Tom Gorzelanny (1-0, 2.01 ERA). Gorzelanny is a former starter who has worked out of the bullpen for the Brewers this season. This is his first start of the season. In his career against the Phillies, he is 3-1 with a 2.41 ERA. At Miller Park, he is 3-3 with a 6.20 ERA.Phillies turn to Kendrick to get back to winning ways

Game Notes:

  • Friday night's loss was just the third time in the last 21 games the Phillies had lost when scoring at least four runs. The Phillies had a 4-0 lead but the Brewers rallied for a 5-4 win.
  • The Phillies have homered in 12 straight games. Of their last 46 home runs, 37 are solo home runs.
  • Friday night was also a rare loss for the Phillies when scoring first. The Phillies are 20-8 when scoring first.
