Rain gets Phillies after Morgan pitches two scoreless

Adam Morgan took the mound for the Phillies and delivered two scoreless innings. Unfortunately, those two innings went to waste. Shortly after Morgan retired the Nationals in the top of the second, the tarp came on the field and the game never resumed.

The Phillies and Nationals will play two games tomorrow in a traditional back-to-back doubleheader. Instead of 1:35, the first game will begin at 1:05. One ticket will be all fans need for two games, and fans who had tickets for Saturday will have the option to trade their tickets for a future game.

The rainout will mess up the Phillies pitching staff. Kevin Correia will pitch as scheduled, but Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports that Severino Gonzalez will be recalled to start tomorrow's second game.
