Talk about gutting it out.
Jurgens played with the back issue during the Birds’ run to Super Bowl LIX. The 2024 Pro Bowl selection was active but didn’t start the NFC Championship Game due to the injury. Originally the reserve center, Jurgens came played the entire second half of the game. He played every offensive snap two-weeks later in the 40-22 rout of the Kansas City Chiefs. The 25-year-old handpicked successor to Jason Kelce is entering the final year of his rookie contract.
He is expected to be ready for training camp in July.
