Sean Couturier out 2 weeks with upper-body injury

The Flyers officially announced that Sean Couturier will be out for the remainder of their series against the Washington Capitals with an upper-body injury. The injury will likely feature a two-week recovery, long enough to keep him out for the remainder of the series.
Couturier, the second-line center, was expected to be the defensive stalwart to slow down Alex Ovechkin. It was a hit by Ovechkin into the boards in the second period of Thursday's Game 1 loss that forced Couturier to leave the game.
Couturier had 39 points in 63 games this season for the Flyers, including 11 goals.
The Flyers have a 5-9-4 record without Couturier in the lineup this season.
Scott Laughton is expected to replace Couturier in the lineup, starting with Saturday's Game 2 in Washington. Laughton has seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points in 71 games this season.
The Flyers and Capitals face off in Game 2 on Saturday night at 7 p.m. from Verizon Center.
