The Flyers acquired goalie Cam Talbot from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for goalie Anthony Stolarz, GM Chuck Fletcher announced shortly after midnight on Saturday morning.
According to TSN’s Darren Dreger, the Flyers are in preliminary discussions with the Edmonton Oilers regarding a trade around goalie Cam Talbot.
Saturday’s game was certainly not be design, but the Flyers stayed with the game and found a way to rally back and win in overtime, defeating the Oilers, 5-4, in overtime. It has them up to seven straight wins and surging.
In overtime, Nolan Patrick was the hero, scoring the game-winning goal to give the Flyers their seventh straight win, 5-4, over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday afternoon.
The Flyers come home for the next five games, starting with the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday afternoon, where they welcome Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and former head coach Ken Hitchcock.
