The top line took care of the offense, with Sean Couturier scoring twice and Claude Giroux scoring a goal and adding two assists, and Brian Elliott had his best game in net this season. That led the Flyers to a third straight win and fifth in the last six games, continuing their recent surge.
Two goals by Sean Couturier and a 33-save shutout from Brian Elliott powered the Flyers in a 4-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday afternoon.
The Flyers have won four of their last five games with Thursday’s heroics, and they will carry that into Saturday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks. Game time is at 1 p.m.
