We are just over two weeks into the NHL season and already there are numerous long term injuries to key players across multiple rosters. Last week we highlighted the injuries to Logan Couture and Duncan Keith. Today there are two more names to add to the list.
The NHL has seen it's first coaching casualty of the season. The Columbus Blue Jackets announced earlier this week they have fired head coach Todd Richards. The decision comes on the heels of the Jackets 0-7-0 start through Tuesday night.
The Flyers opened the season by facing the defending Eastern Conference champions in Tampa Bay and took that game to overtime.
