With the Flyers off and the halfway point of the season in the rear-view mirror, here is the good, the bad and the ugly on the Flyers season so far.

While the break will serve as a time to evaluate the first half of the season, for now, we’re just going to focus on the game and the Flyers finding a way against the Sabres.

Sean Couturier led the charge again, scoring twice in the Flyers 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday at Wells Fargo Center.

The Flyers are back on the ice on Sunday afternoon as well, facing the Buffalo Sabres as they close out a four-game homestand and head into their bye week.

This was very much to type of game the Flyers are looking to have on a nightly basis if their goal is to indeed reach the playoffs, but that didn’t mean that a game with so many positives didn’t have a few blemishes along the way.

Behind two quick first-period goals, the Flyers took an early lead and never looked back, defeating the St. Louis Blues, 6-3, at Wells Fargo Center.

It was Carter Hart and Canada taking the gold with a 3-1 win over Sweden in the Gold Medal Game in Buffalo to close out the 2018 World Junior Championships.

Both Carter Hart and Linus Hogberg will be on opposing sides in the Gold Medal Game on Friday night, as both Canada and Sweden claimed victories in Thursday’s semifinals.
