It wasn’t meant to be a battle of the Flyers goalie prospects, but that’s what the semi-final match between Canada and Sweden turned into. Carter Hart was stellar, making 28 saves in relief and holding Sweden off the board the rest of the way in a 5-2 win for Canada that advanced them to Thursday’s Gold Medal game against USA.
A 5-2 loss to the Rangers was a flat-out embarrassment for a team that has opened the new year as bad as they ended the old one.
