The Flyers announced the next round of cuts on Friday, ahead of what was originally scheduled. In total, 18 players were cut, leaving 36 players remaining on the camp roster.

After three solid skates at practice, the Flyers did appear to put some of the work from practice into action, but for Alain Vigneault, there was more of an opportunity to learn and grow from a preseason-opening 3-1 loss to the Islanders.

This year’s preseason opener pits the Flyers against the New York Islanders on Monday night at Wells Fargo Center at 7 p.m.
