For the second straight game, the Red Wings fired 38 shots Carter Hart’s way. This time, Hart made 37 saves, leading the Flyers in a 3-1 win over Detroit.

The Flyers won in overtime, 6-5. In the end, it doesn’t matter how the points come, as long as they keep coming. But against the lowly Red Wings, this was a game that the Flyers needed to lock down and didn’t do it. Sure, they survived, but it sets the stage for a difficult game to come on Sunday in the back end of a home-and-home.

Two goals in the second period and two more in the third helped the Flyers erase a two-goal deficit and pick up a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.

It hasn’t happened often in the 18 games that Hart has started at the NHL level, but the rookie and the Flyers were out-dueled by the better goaltender. Matt Murray made 50 saves to keep the Flyers at bay in a 4-1 loss to the Penguins that stings, history aside. It marks a serious blow to any playoff hopes the Flyers had left.

The 20-year-old rookie sensation did it again. Carter Hart is becoming a regular rock star in South Philadelphia.Hart was the center of attention again, making 41 saves in the Flyers eighth straight win, 2-1, over the Vancouver Canucks.

This was a character win for the Flyers, who got contributions up and down the lineup and stuck to a game plan that proved to pay off in the end.

Carter Hart and the Flyers picked right back up where they left off before the break.The result was a fourth straight win, a 3-1 defeat of the Winnipeg Jets that started off slow, but finished solid and steady.

The Flyers got three goals from Sean Couturier and another excellent night in goal from Carter Hart on their way to back-to-back wins for just the fourth time this season, defeating the Bruins, 4-3.

The Flyers return home for the first time in 2019 to play the Carolina Hurricanes, a team that defeated them on a four-game road trip on New Year’s Eve. The Flyers are currently on a four-game losing streak. Game time is at 7 p.m.
