Much like the game the week before, the last time the Flyers bounced back from a 6-1 defeat, there were moments where the team that dominated the second half of last season showed up. There were also moments that prolonged the struggles that they have had so far. Here are five takeaways from Tuesday’s Flyers win over the Devils.

The Flyers are out to avenge another 6-1 loss – they did last Tuesday against the Sabres – and try to return to the win column after suffering back-to-back regular season losses for the first time since last January. The Devils are looking to follow up a 2-0 win over the Islanders on Sunday. The Flyers face the Devils at 7 p.m.

The NHL has been releasing videos of the Top 10 plays for each team so far this season. The Flyers video was released a couple of weeks ago and here is a look at the list.

Joel Farabee’s first NHL goal came with 8:31 remaining in the third period to tie the game at three and ultimately force overtime. The Flyers were able to finally get an edge in the shootout, defeating the Devils, 4-3, on Friday night from Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Carter Hart made a sprawling save on Taylor Hall during the Flyers successful kill of the 5-on-3 to preserve a 1-0 lead. He stopped the rest of the 24 shots faced for his first career shutout in a 4-0 win over the Devils on Wednesday night at Wells Fargo Center.

A goal by Finland with 1:26 remaining broke a 2-2 tie and lifted Finland to the gold medal. The US claimed the silver medal.
