Flyers trade Lecavalier, Luke Schenn to Kings for Jordan Weal, 3rd-round pick

It has been no secret that Ron Hextall has been looking to unload salary and sizable contracts. On Wednesday, he did both. The Flyers traded Vincent Lecavalier and Luke Schenn to the Los Angeles Kings for forward Jordan Weal and a 2016 third-round pick.

Luke Schenn out 2 weeks with lower-body injury

There was injury added to the insult of a 4-1 loss to Columbus on Saturday.  Defenseman Luke Schenn suffered an ankle injury late in the game on Saturday and will miss two weeks with a lower-body injury, according to Flyers GM Ron Hextall.
