Photo: Nina Weiss/Flyerdelphia The Lehigh Valley Phantoms missed an opportunity to get back into the playoff race on Friday, and on Saturday saw those chances take a further hit. The Phantoms fell to the Binghamton Senators, 3-1, on Saturday at Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena, sending them to their second loss of the weekend.
Photo: Steve Kuzma/Flyerdelphia Points are the name of the game for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Tonight they got one, but it easily could have been two. The Phantoms failed to score on a four-minute power play in overtime, and the Hartford Wolf Pack won the shootout, 2-0, to collect a 3-2 victory at PPL Center on Friday night.
View image | gettyimages.com It's been five games for Shayne Gostisbehere, but I've seen enough. The Flyers should not return the 22-year-old rookie defenseman to the minors after Mark Streit returns from injury, or for any other reason for that matter. It's not just because he happens to have more goals scored than the […]
It's another week with one win and two losses for the Flyers. A 1-0-2 week is certainly a lot better than the ones of recent memory, but the team is still struggling for points in the standings and goals on the ice. Miss anything on Flyerdelphia from this week? We have it all […]
Photo: Nina Weiss/Flyerdelphia The previous weekend was rough for the Phantoms. Three-in-three weekends are common in the AHL. This was not a memorable one for Lehigh Valley, as they dropped all three games to Hershey, Syracuse and the Binghamton Senators, the team they were facing again on Wednesday night. This time, the Phantoms got the […]

The Flyers recalled Chris Conner from the team on Sunday afternoon. And so Conner was on his way to Vancouver and into his place stepped Kevin Sundher. […]
Photo: Nina Weiss/Flyerdelphia Through the first four games of the season, the Phantoms had struggled to find that winning formula. Perhaps Anthony Stolarz is a big piece of that winning formula. Stolarz was in goal for the Phantoms first win of the season and again for the second on Saturday, as the Phantoms claimed a […]
The cuts continued for Ron Hextall as Wednesday came to a close. After sending Ivan Provorov, Travis Sanheim and Travis Konecny back to their junior teams, 20 more players were assigned to various locations.
It has already been an eventful offseason for the Flyers and the offseason is only really just beginning. True to their word, the Flyers and GM Ron Hextall sent Craig Berube packing not long after the conclusion of the season and made the new hire official prior to the NHL Draft. Enter Dave Hakstol, the […]
Michael Del Zotto scored his fifth of the season. The Flyers killed a late penalty in the third. Steve Mason made 30 saves and the Flyers won their fourth consecutive game as they defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 1-0 Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
