Weekly Report Card: Another not so pretty win for Eagles

This Eagles season seems to follow a traditional trend. The Eagles are 6-2 and a win is a win. But many of these wins haven’t been pretty. Sunday was another example for the Eagles surviving mistakes and somehow coming out on top, this time against the Texans. Here is this week’s report card.

Monday Review: Even in victory, Eagles suffer two huge losses

No victory on the scoreboard can replace what the Eagles have lost on the field. Nick Foles and DeMeco Ryans both suffered long-term injuries in the Eagles 31-21 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday. For Foles, a broken collarbone leaves him out indefinitely. Ryans season is over after an torn Achilles. This is […]

On Your Mark: Sanchez helps Eagles claim win against Texans

The losses at the end of the day included the starting quarterback, the defensive captain and another member of the offensive line. But the scoreboard showed another Eagles victory regardless. Mark Sanchez entered the game in relief in the second quarter and led the Eagles to two touchdowns in the Eagles 31-21 win over […]

Game Preview: Eagles look to bounce back from loss in Houston

For the second time this season, the Eagles are trying to respond to a loss. For the 5-2 Eagles, the aspirations of the season still lie in front of them with the destiny still in their hands. Week 8 handed the Eagles another tough loss that was close to going the other way. The first […]

Sunday Six Pack: Eagles at Texans

A Week 8 loss in Arizona was a dose of reality for the Eagles. Mistake-filled football won’t always end in victory as it had for several weeks before their meeting with the Cardinals. Of course, the best way to erase the loss is with short memory. There is another game on Sunday in Houston where […]

Weekly Report Card: Foles struggles hurt Eagles in loss

Sunday certainly did not go as planned. The Eagles found themselves in a position to win an important game against the Cardinals. When it was needed most, they couldn’t score a touchdown. That was only a small part of the Eagles loss. The game was ultimately decided with turnovers. A sloppy game for the Eagles […]

Monday Review: Foles, Eagles finally pay for mediocrity

Stats from a season ago and beyond are rather meaningless. But demeanor is another thing. Last season, when he threw just two interceptions, Nick Foles was a confident kid leading a wild ride. He was the new guy at quarterback, and every time he threw, magic seemed to happen. This season, Foles doesn’t look the […]

Cardinals survive mistake-filled game, send Eagles to 5-2

The Eagles were on the goal line in the closing moments of the game with a chance for a touchdown. All they needed was a yard. They couldn't get it. Instead, the Eagles settled for a field goal and put it in the hands of a defense that had been solid all afternoon. They were […]

Game Preview: After bye week, Eagles face Cardinals

The Eagles last appearance on the field was their best, a 27-0 win over the Giants. But that was two weeks ago and the Eagles return from the bye week is not an easy one. The Arizona Cardinals, at 5-1, lead the NFC West, an impressive feat to this point considering their division foes. The […]
