According to TSN’s Bob McKenzie, the Flyers are working hard to sign RFA defenseman Ivan Provorov today, just before the start of training camp. McKenzie also reports that the Flyers and RFA forward Travis Konecny are not close to a deal.

The conclusion of Rookie Camp is upon us, as the Flyers prospects will take on the Islanders prospects in a game on Wednesday night at PPL Center in Allentown at 7 p.m.
In total, 64 players will participate in Flyers training camp — 34 forwards, 22 defensemen and seven goalies. Training camp will run from Sept. 13 with regular on-ice sessions through Sept. 19. Following an off day on Sept. 20, the team will be back on the ice for sessions from Sept. 21 through Sept. 26.
With just three days remaining until training camp begins, Ivan Provorov and Travis Konecny remain unsigned. The two would be notable absences from Alain Vigneault’s first training camp as head coach.
It may only be a couple of days of practice for the trio of Morgan Frost, Joel Farabee and Isaac Ratcliffe — all turning pro full-time for the 2019-20 season — but the chemistry is starting to form early.
For a few Flyers prospects, Rookie Camp is the beginning of a month-long journey to solidify a roster spot in the NHL. All eyes will be on two forwards in particular: Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee.
