The Flyers enter Thursday’s game in a four-game losing streak though, and now get the test of facing the NHL’s best team in the standings. The Boston Bruins come in with a 14-2-0 record and wins in four straight games.
The Flyers are back on the road and back in Columbus looking to stop the bleeding, this time to start a three-game road trip on Tuesday night against the Blue Jackets.
The Flyers are once again taking on former captain Claude Giroux and the Ottawa Senators, only this marks Giroux’s first game in Philadelphia in another uniform.
Columbus jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the second, and that was enough to hang on until two empty-net goals late sealed a 5-2 loss for the Flyers.
On Thursday night, the Flyers hit the road to face another team at the bottom of the standings and locked into a lengthy losing streak. The Columbus Blue Jackets have lost five straight games dating back to Oct. 23, including both games in their trip to Finland last weekend.

Zack MacEwen scored the game-winning goal in the second period and Carter Hart stood tall in a 2-1 win for the Flyers over the Senators on Saturday night.
A three-game road trip comes to an end on Saturday night as the Flyers face the Ottawa Senators and a familiar face on the opposition. It will be Claude Giroux’s first game against his long-time former team.
Following a 1-0 overtime loss to the New York Rangers, the Flyers continue their road trip by going north of the border to face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night.
As the Flyers kick off November, they will face a team with arguably the best goaltender in the league. The Flyers meet the New York Rangers on Tuesday night to open a three-game road trip.
