The Phillies Have Four Prospects in MLB Pipeline’s Revised Top 100 Prospect List

Major League Baseball’s in-house ranking service, MLB Pipeline, has updated their 2025 MLB Top 100 baseball prospects list. The Philadelphia Phillies have two players in the Top 25 and four players in the Top 100. 

Here’s a look at the Philadelphia Phillies minor league prospects who made the revised MLB Pipeline Top 100. 

 

No. 5 Andrew Painter (previously No.8)

This very likely will be the last season Andrew Painter is this list. The Phillies’ top prospect is continuing to recover from Tommy John surgery and is on track to make his Major League debut sometime after the 2025 MLB All-Star break. The 22-year-old just made his Triple-A debut and pitched three scoreless innings for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Painter is 6-4 with a 1.67 ERA and 0.90 WHIP in 124 minor league innings.

Expected MLB Debut: July/August 2025

 

No. 25 SS Aidan Miller (previously No. 27)

Aidan Miller has quickly risen through the Phillies farm system after being drafted No. 27 overall in the 2023 MLB Draft. In just over one full year of professional baseball, Miller climbed from Rookie-A to Double-A. Miller is in his first full-season with Double-A Reading and is currently slashing .208/.309/.324 with three homers, eight RBI, and a .633 OPS. The 20-year-old has been lauded for his raw power and ability to play the middle infield particularly shortstop.

Expected MLB Debut: 2026 Season

 

No. 56 OF Justin Crawford (previously No.64)

Like Aiden Miller, Justin Crawford has quickly made his impact on the Phillies farm system. The son of former-MLBer Carl Crawford, Justin Crawford has made the jump Triple-A Lehigh Valley after just two full seasons in the minor leagues. The No. 17 pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, Crawford has shown the ability to consistently get on-base at all levels of play and is now starting show the ability to drive the baseball. For his MiLB career, Crawford is slashing .316/.373/.438 with 12 homers, 143 RBI, 56 doubles, 15 triples, 111 stolen bases and a .811 OPS. Crawford has continued to play an above-average centerfield and is projected to play that position in the Big Leagues.

Expected MLB Debut: Possibly late 2025 Season

 

No 77. C Eduardo Tait (No.93)

Eduardo Tait has been one of the better surprises in the Phillies minor league system. The 18-year-old Panamanian signed for $90,000 in January 2023 as an international free agent and has been impressive through 150 minor league games. Currently with Single-A Clearwater, Tait is slashing .306/.363/.502 with 20 homers. 130 RBI, and a .865 OPS.  The early returns on Tait are he should be able to hit with power at all levels. Defensively he’s a work in progress but projects as a Big-League catcher.

Expected MLB Debut: 2028 Season
